Plus size?

Society is changing and also the canons of beauty that seemed established. Now, the plus-size models are struggling to be the protagonists of the cameras.

Even that, to my surprise, the Victoria's Secret lingerie brand, which always bet on the ultra-thin models, has presented the new member of their staff, which according to them is "plus size". But, and here the crux of the matter, the woman chosen by the lingerie brand, actually wears an absolutely normal and healthy weight.

Barbara measures 1.75 and weighs 55 kilos, which is not close at all to the 'plus size' measures but to those of an ordinary woman. So, if this is a normal woman, can you imagine those that really are plus size? It is not necessary more than to see it to realize that it is a mistake...

On the other hand I think that it is necessary to recognise that this is the first step of the brand to include various types of bodies. Also for a company that has publicly stated that it would never include plus-sized models in their runway show, it's probably a big deal to them.

This is somewhat non-news. It's amazing how the media once again echo things that are not news or are only news in the minds of those who give them.
